Energy Survey Prototype

I built this survey tool as a prototype for providing people with useful feedback with regards to energy efficiency around their homes. After several consultations with the team behind the project, and discussions about the possibilities with other tools like Google Forms and SurveyMonkey, we decided the cleanest, most sustainable solution was to try and build a web app to solve the problem. I spent a few days building this prototype as a proof of concept for them to use to go forwards with the project. The idea was that users could fill out several pages of questions, and then the app would collate their data and provide them with useful advice on what they could do to more efficiently use energy around their homes.

One of the challenges with this method, was due to the desired low running costs, we decided to avoid using a persistent backend, so opted to allow the users to save their results as a PDF. This meant the design had to be useful both in the main browser format, but also when constricted to the PDF viewer when exporting out of the browser.
